WELCOME TO WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT!!

In an earlier life, like most, I dabbled with taking pictures (family, travel, the zoo ...); not what I would call serious photography.

In my retired life WE (Jackie and me) are full-time travelers living 6+- months in a caravan/trailer in Australia chasing the sun, and 6+- months "out and about" wherever we happen to be. No roots; no anchors; and quite frankly almost complete freedom.

While I have always been fascinated by the colors and patterns "Nature" generates, for example, the patterns found in birds, flowers, and shells, I did not seriously embark on (yes, it is a journey) capturing my fascination until just a few years ago!

With the support of my wife Jackie (we strive in our travels to make sure Jackie is not a photographer's widow), my brother, a professional photographer in San Diego, California (http://www.stevegouldphotography.com/), and the extensive and continuous help, education, and training of the many members and professionals on The Bird Photographers Net (http://www.birdphotographers.net), I jumped in with both feet and recreated myself as a Photographer.
